I have not done a poll in a long time and if you read here often 
enough then you know about “The Attack of the Killer Algorithms” and they are out there with code that goes rogue and some queries that focus more on “desired” results than accuracy. Some do both like they should, but look at the financial world today, how many “desired” queries exist versus the “accurate” ones? I don’ t know but it would be interesting to find out:)
If you don’ t know about CodeAcademy visit their
website and they have something there for everyone to learn about computer coding and you can do as much or as little as you like but just being a part you’ll learn something and it will help you comprehend the algorithms that work behind the scenes with computer coding that you can’t see, touch or feel, but it’s there. My next poll will be asking about the members of the Senate banking committee on whether or not they should enroll too:)

Before you vote though this video from Jon Stewart says it all….”I don’t know” so get some schooling to figure out a better answer on Dodd Frank:) If Michael Bloomberg makes the commitment, what’s wrong with Dimon getting a little smarter with evaluating “risk” models, which are not much more than a bunch of algorithms that give information so they can play with the millions and billions:) BD

Also this is a great educational video about the rogue algorithms on Wall Street and worth watching as Kevin Slavin gives you some insight as how the algos and Wall Street work…if” you are an algorithm the future looks pretty bright but not so much if you are a person, he states.” BD

the story. Earlier today I found another priceless comment stating that "Lloyd Blankfein must be happy now that some of the negative shadows are following Dimon” so I guess he can go out in public again:) Also in the news today, we had this about seniors.

have no clue how to make laws today and technology is just flat out eating their lunch. We live in a new era today and to sit in denial and be a “non participant” with technology today hurts others too. I wish some would read up on what a “gateway” is. There’s a lot of folks out there who can help educate them too such as doctors who use “gateways” all the time for access to electronic medical records. Here’s one more great example from a couple weeks ago that shows more digital illiteracy, as they just have to “control” something….
to help educate the public on how processes and formulas run on servers 24/7 making life impacting decisions about all of us and is basically the underlying factor for the “Occupy” movement. What does one do when you can’t speak to that algorithm or query or yet even reach customer service folks sometimes that work for companies that use them, and they all do.
